Casino Gambling On Internet
Amazing Gambling Market
Now, in retrospect, I probably overreacted. A few years have passed since then and the government still hasn't clarified this law. Yet with the high-profile explosion of poker on the Internet(such as Chris Moneymaker winning millions at the 2003 World Series of Poker after qualifying in an online tournament), I think Internet gambling is only going to become more common and accepted. His unprecedented success actually encouraged many other poker players to go online to sharpen their skills and win money. The year after Moneymaker's amazing Cinderella story, several players from an Internet poker site made the World Series of Poker's final table, and the winner once again originated from an online tournament.
So, for better or worse, it looks like Internet gambling is here to stay, and it could grab a huge share of the gambling market in the future (assuming any lingering legal issues are resolved). And despite their drawbacks, these cyber certainly offer many benefits. Novice blackjack players don't have to worry about making mistakes, since they can keep a basic strategy chart right on the desk or even use a popup one while playing online. Experienced card-counting warriors can ply their trade from the comfort of home rather than traveling to every remote casino on the face of the planet, searching for new games.
However, the main attraction is still the money. The bonuses are so generous they more than make up for the occasional cheating or deadbeat casino. There may not be another legitimate business in the world in which you can potentially turn $1,000 into six figures. The fat bonuses available online are especially ideal for a beginning player starting out on a shoestring bankroll, since Internet casinos offer the best chance to make any serious money for those limited to only small bets.
Parameters
The bevy of bonuses available on the Internet is almost endless. The difficulty comes in sorting through all the offers and determining which are really worthwhile and which should get sent to the trash. First, keep in mind the old axiom-if it looks too good to be true, it probably is. Whenever an is giving away the farm with simply incredible promotions, it should cause concern. It may be running a Pansy scheme, and your money might end up on the wrong end of the pyramid. This doesn't mean you should pass on the best deals, but you should definitely be more suspicious. Here is an example: I received an unsolicited e-mail yesterday from an Internet casino promising a 50 percent bonus on deposits up to $5,000. Now, getting $2,500 in free money is a tremendous deal, but such a generous offer could be financial suicide for the casino. It might be worth the risk, but there's a good chance the balloon will pop before you get paid, or the bonus could get rescinded. Losing $1,000 to claim a $2,500 bonus that never materializes can quickly wipe the smile off your face.
Risk and time
The main criteria for evaluating these opportunities are risk and time. Always carefully read the fine print and make sure you fully understand all the conditions necessary to qualify for a bonus. Usually, there are a fixed number of play-through requirements. Here is an example from the highly respected Inter Casino. It gives its customers up to $80 in free money each and every month. To qualify, you need to play through this bonus at least twenty five times. To evaluate this deal, you first figure out the total amount of action required (25 x $80 = $2,000 in wagers). Inter Casino's blackjack game has a disadvantage of approximately 0.5 percent, so you would lose about $10 over the course of your play. This leaves an average profit of $70.
Fortunately, the games are very fast on the Internet and flat $10 a hand creates $2,000 in action ire less than one hour at most casinos. So your EV is about $70 an hour. This is oversimplified and doesn't take all the other tasks into consideration (correspondence, bookkeeping, begging to get paid, etc.), but is a reasonable way to judge whether a particular deal is worth your time. Of course, you can dramatically increase the hourly wage by betting more-at $20 per hand, you would take only thirty minutes to qualify, and $100 a pop would require less than ten minutes of your time, all for the same $70 profit, but with a great deal more fluctuation.
